Meet the Hosts of Mountains Made Low
Where faith meets real life and encounters with God occur in everyday moments!
Dennis and Christine are the heart and voice behind Mountains Made Low, a podcast that explores the beauty, grit, and grace of the spiritual journey and Catholic faith. With decades of ministry experience between them, they bring a dynamic blend of wisdom, humor, and authenticity to every episode. Together, Dennis and Christine create a space where questions are welcome, laughter is holy, and the mountains we face become paths of grace.

This wasn’t the path Dennis envisioned after graduating from La Salle University with degrees in Religion and Psychology, followed by a masters in Psychological Counseling, but as the saying goes, “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.” What began as a detour became a divine calling. Today, nothing ignites Dennis’ heart more than proclaiming the love of God to anyone who will listen.
With over 30 years of ministry as a Director of Religious Education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Dennis is well-seasoned, and he’s got the salt and pepper hair to prove it. Now serving as Director for the Office of Catechetical Formation for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, he continues to form hearts in faith. Outside the office, he travels to parishes offering workshops, talks, and retreats; hosts his weekly podcast Mountains Made Low; and suits up with the 501st Legion, using his love for Star Wars to support charitable causes.
Yet above all, Dennis’ greatest vocation is as a husband to his beloved wife, Denise, and father to their six extraordinary children. His ministry flows from the love he lives at home – a love rooted in Christ and the joys and grace of family life.
And then there’s Christine—easy to spot by the coffee mug in hand, usually one from her ever-growing collection. A dynamic Theology professor, at Holy Family University in Philadelphia, she spends much of her time engaging college students with the bold disclaimer: “This ain’t your grandmother’s religion class!” Her teaching blends reverence with real-world relevance, inviting students to wrestle with faith in fresh and meaningful ways.
Beyond the classroom, Christine serves as Director of Parish Services at St. Albert the Great Parish, in Huntingdon Valley, PA, where she joyfully meets both the spiritual and practical needs of the community. She has a special passion for walking with those preparing to receive the Sacraments and enter into the Church, helping them encounter the Church with warmth and clarity.
Christine is always game for a roller coaster ride or a competitive tennis match—whether on the court or from the couch, but her greatest loves are her husband and their three wonderfully wild children, who keep her grounded, laughing, and inspired every day.
